French and Spanish Speaking School Trip Coordinator – Independent Schools

Timetable: Full Time
Salary: £22,000 – 25,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunities
Our client, a specialist in providing bespoke language immersion and educational school trips, is looking for a personable and intelligent French and Spanish speaking coordinator to join their team at an exciting time for the company.
Our client provides exclusive international experiences to schools that allow the pupils to immerse themselves in the culture and language of the country they are travelling to. They provide this via French and Spanish specialist venues (alongside other countries) abroad which allow children to practise their language skills through a variety of activities, such as rock climbing and escape rooms.
Our client is looking for an engaging, intelligent and vibrant individual to assist in coordinating these trips which are then provided to a variety of educational establishments, primarily in the private schools sector. The relevant candidate does not need to have experience in this type of role and experience in school trips is desirable but not essential.
The role would largely involve liaison with suppliers around the world for hotel, travel and excursion requirements, negotiating the best rates and quality of service in French and Spanish. This would include administration of group bookings from reservation to completion of the tour, including invoicing and collecting all monies from the school.
Other duties include:
- Producing detailed travel itineraries based on client requirements
- Keeping the reservation booking system up to date
- Keeping work files up to date
- Dealing with the health and safety audits of hotels (subject to training)
Our client has articulated their desire for a candidate that is ‘down to earth’, approachable and looking for their next opportunity in education but outside of the classroom.
The successful applicant will have the following characteristics:
- Fluency in French is essential
- Fluency in other languages is an advantage
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential
- Experience in educational trips is desirable but not essential
