Salary: £36,538 – £44,590 per annum
Our client, a highly successful, independent girls’ preparatory day school (4-11 years) in Hertfordshire is looking to appoint a Head of Maths on a one year maternity contract for January 2024.

This approach ensures that each girl has the optimal environment to thrive. The school has approximately 140 girls and 50 staff.
The incoming Head of Maths will be responsible for teaching Maths to girls in Years 5 & 6, as well as leading and managing all Maths teaching and practice, within a small but vital Maths department. The incoming Head of Maths will be responsible for delivering high-quality, stimulating lessons that ensure pupil progression.
The Head of Maths candidate will have:
- Qualified teacher status;
- Successful Maths teaching experience across the ability and age range of Year 5 and 6 in particular.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a strong empathy for working with children and young people and be fully supportive of the aims & ethos of an independent girls’ day school.
